Installed my black optics grille today.

Black optics grille from Germany came in today. Wen't straight to work and installed. Looks so much better. I also had my amber side markers painted to color match the car. Front end looks so much cleaner. Thanks to Alexander at Europrice for all the detailed information and quick shipping!

Install was pretty easy. Only pain in the ass part is if you have a front camera. There is a cutout in the back part of the grille you have to do yourself for the camera to sit flush. They have it outlined where you have to cut. Other than that, pretty simple swapping everything over.

I don't have the driver assistance package so not sure how much of that appears on the HUD. But without Nav, its just the speed. And with Nav activated, it will display directions as shown.

Thanks! I'm not getting drivers assistance package either so not all sure what is different. I've seen something Audi put out that it shows the distance to your next turn and the speed limit sign. Idk I like that it's full color, wish it had a little more but I'm happy that's it's included in the prestige build.

Haven't swapped that over yet but its just held on by 2 metal clips from the back. Should be an easy task.

Yes, for sure. there are about 10 screws holding it from the back, and a couple of tabs you have to release once the bumper is off. Part # is 8W0 853 651 BS FUQ. There are two different versions of the black optic grille's and additional parts depending on if you have the front camera or if you want plate delete. I was unable to get them from my dealer since these parts are still only available from Germany. But since it seems you're located in Mexico, you might have better luck. Contact Alexander at Europrice, he can definitely help you out.

As long as you know where all the bolts and clips are it's pretty easy. ECS has some pretty instructions.

Maybe I'm totally inept, but I wouldn't have a clue how to take the bumper off. What would a dealer charge?

Not sure what a dealer would charge, maybe 2-3 hrs. If you read the instructions a few times and have the tools you need you would be alright. Just get a second set of hands to help pull it all the way off.

Sorry I guess just working on these cars everyday makes certain things look easy lol. It's really not hard at all. If there are no DIY instructions anywhere maybe when I have some free time I can put something together.

Talk to Alex @ Europrice, he commented earlier in this post. That's who I got it from and he'll answer all your questions. From the time I put my order in, it took about a week and a half.

Thanks but I am sure removing and re-installing the bumper is well beyond my skill set and don't have any car savvy friends to help out. Maybe I need to think about getting it professionally painted instead.

The driver assistance shows speed limit sign, the lane keep assist/congestion assist symbols, and some of the adaptative cruise control information.

Update: car is dirty and it was late when I got it back but finally got it de-chromed and took a quick photo, got new wheels and also installed the rear s4 factory spoiler. Will take more pics once I wash the car this weekend. DESPERATELY waiting for some suspension, the wheel gap makes me cringe.

what are the specs on those wheels and tires (with,offset) , they look 19 inch rotiforms ?

that spoiler looks good.better than what audi offers for the B9,looks a bit like the one caractere offers

Yea they're Rotiform's in a custom color. They are 19x8.5 +35mm. I had the 19" wheel package so I just swapped the tires over since the wheels are the same size and width. 245/35/19. The wheels do poke out a little more since the factory offset is +43mm I think.

Even at 30k feet the car looks awesome. The Rotiforms turned out to be a nice combo with your B9. We'll work on the lowering as soon as good options come available.

im guessing once you will drop it with some coilovers the wont poke anymore.
