    1997 a4 2.8L overheating issues

Hello. My car is giving me fits overheating. Ive replaced the tstat, water pump, radiator and timing belt. It will idle about 10 minutes before spewing coolant out the bottom of the overflow jug. It seems there is a blockage some where. The lower radiator hose stays cold and there is almost no coolant going through the heater hoses. The heater core is currently bypassed and has been since February. I have tried to bleed the air at the bypass on the heater hoses and on the coolant pipe at the back of the engine and it seems to not help. This is the 12v 2.8 engine whick isnt as common anf the haynes manual doesnt cover much on it. Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.
