Coilover Install Help - Can't find the right tool

For those of you that have done a coilover install yourselves, I'm having trouble finding the proper wrench to torque the top strut nut. I've tried Home Depot, Lowes, Harbor Freight and Sears and cant seem to find a wrench that is both:
    a) deep enough
    b) small enough to fit in the (bushing?)

I ended up using an impact which it specifically says not to because I couldn't figure out any other way. I'm getting creaking when I turn and i'm pretty sure it's because I over-torqued that nut and the spring has too much preload.

I've thought about buying one online but I don't wanna just guess and end up having to buy multiple wrenches and have none of them work.
Anyone remember where they got theirs from? Or even better have a link to one I can buy online?

This is the wrench that I'm looking for:

isn't that just a regular deep offset box wrench?

If you can't find one, just make one from a shitty harbor freight wrench.

It seems to be a lot steeper than the ones that I've been able to find.

Making one isn't a bad idea. Would need to buy a vice or soothing but that's probably something I should have anyways.

I have never had a problem with my harbor freight offset wrenchs. ECS touts these schawben ones as "doing the job right" so they may fit better.

You can also use a pass through socket/ratchet and a long hex bit. That's how I've done it.

I had trouble finding that same tool with the correct offset. The two different sets I bought were not the correct angle so It didn't work, so I eneded up purchasing a pass through set and this worked great. Good luck with the rest of the install op

Here is yet another option for you; the socket has a "window" cut into the side and this allows access with a Allen wrench etc. You hold with the Allen wrench and turn (1/4 turn) with the socket.

I think you are going about this correctly as developing the correct habits now will save you "temptations" and usually trouble later with other work/installs.

Anybody have a trick for KW V2's?

I'm having a difficult time getting the cradle fully bolted down to the strut because on the V2's, there is no room to insert a hex bit.

This. Impacts are so fast and torquey that they overcome the need for having the shaft static.

Got the struts secure with some air tools!
Now i just need to raise the rear a tad and drop the front (i don't think i mounted the shock low enough in the strut extension so I'm almost at stock ride height still) then its done...mostly
