What's a good replacement ac compressor

So my ac compressor is out. Really sucks. Been researching and I see discount ac parts has a kit. I've heard mix reviews. Is anyone running a kit from them? Is it worth my time or should I bite the bullet and "buy nice or buy twice"

I went with their kit, it worked fine for the 50 miles I had it on the car before it was hit.

I also have my OEM compressor if you want to have it rebuild/serviced.

I went with a Denso (oem). I think it was around $600 with tube and dryer.

I found the exact right PN new genuine Denso compressor on eBay for $250. I was ready to pay more for a new Denso compressor but lucked out and got this deal instead. The seller bought it new to install and never did, so he put it on eBay.

Body: make sure you evacuate and clean the system before cranking up the new compressor. Very important.

I got a new Denso unit for around 450. Its one of those items I would generally suggest shying away from an aftermarket brand. Make sure you replace the drier at the same time.
