    Stage 2 B8 vs Stage 3 B5

    Did a few pulls with a local B5.

    B5- K04s with the supporting mods on pump
    B8- GIAC stage 2 on E85/93.

    Owner claims boost was tapering to 19psi at redline instead of holding 24.

    Never was on a dyno. I don't believe his 3 sec fats times, as that's what my B5 used to run and mine was much faster

    Are you having any issues with running E85/93 mix on the race map in this excessive heat especially with a/c on? I seem to be getting back to back CEL's with "system too lean" on both banks but only on casual runs at part throttle with the a/c running, if I drive it hard not as bad.

    pOOR GUY,HE JUST KEPT COMING BACK FOR MORE.....
    2012 S4,6MT. Steering wheel/4 rims & tires/seatbelts/windshield wipers/41 psi in front tires/40 psi in back tires/CD player/AC/sunroof/oil level=full/coolant=full/no CEL/glovebox/no car payments/dusty brakes/lowbeam/high beam/turn signals/small nick in the bumper from a stone about 1/16" in dia. about 4 " below the headlight/gas in tank/clutch-brake-gas pedals.

    I have both these cars and the difference after getting the B8.5 to Stage 2 with TCU is getting very slim.

    I have not been able to do it yet, but, I want to have a buddy go out with me and see how they mach up.

    My B5 is K04 Stage 3 Daz tuned (RIP) with all the supporting stage 3 mods. Very healthy Stage 3 with zero CELs or issues.

    I'm not sure if you remember when my b5 was F21 + meth, but that was a very healthy set up. I would love to see how my cars would have matched up.

    Stage 3 B5's are so hit or miss. Stage 3 in general is very hit or miss actually. With all the required supporting mods etc... my stage 3 B6 (I know entirely different - but still a turbo) would be healthy one day then barely producing power the next. Temps, humidity, density, fuel... etc... would all affect it's performance. I'd much rather a consistent stage 2 or even stage 1 vs a high maintenance moody stage 3

    When my B5 was stage 3 + meth it was very healthy and consistent. I also knew what I was doing with it, unlike a lot of the people who own B5s now. There's a ton of videos on my youtube account of it.
