    Opinions on catch cans

Im sure this has been discussed 1000 times in the past, and I'm sure at least one person is gonna say "use the search bar" but I want a real-time up to date opinion from users on this topic. Based on what everyone has seen and experienced, is it really worth having a catch can to delete the spider hoses? If so, did you guys just block off the manifold and Y pipe and run hoses from the valve covers and valley pan straight to the catch can? What are some of your setups like? TIA

A proper catch can setup shouldn't completely delete the spider hose, just adds on to it to filter the PCV vapors of oil and other fluids. The manifold port is used in conjunction with the y-pipe port to provide the most vacuum pressure to the PCV system. If going the route of a catch can it's recommended (IMO) to pull from the valve covers and the crank case port, go into the catch can, and out to the Y-pipe, blocking off the intake manifold port.

Have to agree with you, most of us simply want the stock set up but still prevent oil from entering the Y pipe. My catch can was filled with approximately 5 tablespoons of oil after 4,000 miles, 605 turbos 730hp.
