ok so yesterday i was driving along like normal and out of nowhere when i stopped at a red light the car started to surge with my foot on the brake, i thought it was odd, then i noticed all of the lights on the dash were lit PRND432 were all lit, the car wouldnt go into gear, and i had to push it out of the road way and get it towed, The car is a 99 1.8T AEB auto trans and has just under 112k on it, the OBD2 i had with me at the time said N92 and N89 which are solenoid valves 5 and 2, they were the only 2 errors that were on it, and i havent had time to run VCDS as i am not staying at my house atm, from what i have noticed there is no water on or around the passanger floor, but havent taken it up yet, i parked it and borrowed a car to get to where i was going, I have no clue other than the basics on Solenoids and wouldnt know where to begin :( there is a local shop near me but if i could fix it myself i would, i will note it slipped out of gear all the lights were on and it was clearly in Limp mode as it felt like it was in 3rd gear for about 10 seconds then i couldnt even get it to move from where it stopped. i turned the car off and back on to let it reset "This happened on my old 00 A4 and it was just a wire that shorted every 200+ miles so i kinda checked that out, After restarting the car it went into gear fine, then i touched the gas and all the lights kicked on and was back in limp, i guess ill have to pull the carpet and open the TCU box, just to check for water. "we have had an ungodly amount of rain this month" so there is a possibility water got in. would that explain the Solenoids tho? idk im new to transmissions Engines arent my thing
