    Painted belt line over fishscale

So recently i got over a tough time with my b5 that you guys helped me through. To sorta get out of my slumping hate and joy cycles with the car i thought itd be a good idea to freshen it up a bit. I went and installed a white led interior light kit and i painted the belt line molding. I did mine a little differently. I scuffed and sanded the moldings not to the aluminum though. When i painted over them you can see the fish scale texture in it. I think it came out really nice.

Next too come are some polished aluminum mirror housings!

I like it. Looks really nice Did you take the center console apart to remove the clips for the big trim piece or did you just carefully pry it off? I have been thinking recently about doing my trim in CF, debating if I should pull the center console out to remove the metal clips the "correct" way.

I used the pry method. Beware though you will bend it out of shape and have to bend it back. I practically destroyed my original molding. I used the moldings off a parts car i had already disassembled and painted those. The dash parts are hard to do to be honest or at least a pain. The door trim was a 0 out of 10 unscrew nuts and put the new trim on. Real easy. Ill see if i can get a better texture shot. A lot of people acetone the fishscale off and get a nice piano flat finish. Mine looks like there is a weave under it.
