Curios what you guys record for a cv joint replacement. I can hear them going bad is there a rebuild kit out or should I just buy a completely new one? If so which one should I buy

.. Audi ones are OE - ( original equipment )
OEM ones are made by the Original manufacturer but not necessarily to Audi Specs.
After market are made by anyone and should fit , that's about it .

bottom line is OEM does not mean its an Audi part.

good to be clear on this early so there is no confusion.

Well I have messed with one aftermarket one before and had a completely bad experience with it. So I am looking for someone to rebuild or do diy rebuild on my inner cv joint. My outer ones are fine.

I have gone through raxles (have them on right now) and o'Reilly's purchased ones as well. Either are fine. I've found they both hold up. I'm using the raxles ones right now because they cost me more so I'm gonna get my money's worth but you're safe either way.

Someone will chime in soon and tell you how terrible the non brand ones are but have never had one on themselves. It's audizine, it's what we do.

I have oreileys remans and they are still holding up just fine with aggresive steering on a daily basis.

I had a shop put an aftermarket axle on mine and i made it all the way home only to have the clip break and the whole axle pop out when turning into my driveway. The shop made things right and paid for a new OE axle + labor since they screwed up. No regrets with the OE axle but if I'd do it again, I'd probably go with Raxles due to the overwhelming reviews they get online.

I've had a few Cardone axles. They all fit fine, but some of their refurbed are from Audi, and some are their own manufacture which tend to have a slight vibration at low speeds.
