I'm going with a B8.5 S4 with 19k miles on the clock, Ice Silver (bleh), APR stage 2 tune/Pulley/Stage 2 CF intake, okay VMR wheels and H&R sport springs. It has the basics that I would of done anyways.
The reason is that I didn't want to DD the RS4, and noticed many owners had theirs as their second car/weekend car. I have limited parking space in my condo, and I need a car that I don't feel bad putting miles on and throwing shit in the car. The RS4 felt too special for that, and with my low mileage, I hated putting miles on her. Also the back seat was smaller than the B8 and the baby seat is a very tight fit, causing the front seats to go all the way forward and still rub a little bit (baby Recaro's).
The car is in pristine shape, especially the paint and my preventative maintenance care I have done. I like to think my mods were tastefully done and not over the top, which my philosophy is clean and aggressive, coming from my JDM back ground. And I'm a CF whore as well. My plan was to track this car and done all the fluids, and have a extra pair of BNIB hawk pads. I needed to tweak a few more things before I was going to take her, and a good S4 popped near by, from a private seller. I wasn't sure if my car was going to sell, but I had overwhelming interest on it, and sold fairly quickly than I expected. I was planning on a last cruise with my local RS4 guys in August, but that is not going to happen now.
Like my previous BRZ, it seems like I do have that "build the car up and sell" bad habit. I'm not sure why.
I'm looking forward to building my S4, and hopefully not going fucking nuts again and end up selling it for something else. I really hope I can keep this car for a long time as my grocery getter, until I decide to buy a house with a garage, then I can have my second toy car.
I would have to admit that my BRZ was more fun to drive and engaging, but the RS4 had a better quality build feel with rawness, which is pretty impossible to find now days.
