I was wondering what does the 75k mile maintenance consist of? and would it be easier to do it myself or take it to a shop?

I think (think) it's plugs, coils, oil change, air filter change, and inspection. If you are doing it yourself take a look at all your bushings as well if they haven't been replaced. Tranny fluid and filter wouldn't be a bad idea either if it hasn't been done.
