Engine Change..

I have a BFB engine in my car. Could i use a Diffrent engine, if mine was broken?

Greetings! The BFB engine (from the quick searching I've done), is a 1.8T engine that was offered on the B7 A4 platform... an engine option that was not offered in North America. From what I can gather, it should be the same as the the 1.8T AMB engine that is used in the B6 A4s and also possible to work with the BEX motor that was offered in Europe (part of the S-Line package). Don't have much info about the BFB engine over here to be 100% sure.
