    TCU tune or Pulley

Which one? Ultimately would like to have both in the future. Apr is having summer sale. I was going to get stage 1 and TCU tune while on sale tomorrow. Trying to find reviews of TCU tune but they aren't very plentiful.

My last car was a 12' S4 with stage 2 And pulley but it was 6 speed so I am unaware of the changes felt with the TCU tune. I was quite happy with the performance of the pulley

I have a B8.5 for reference. I do all my own work, so if I get the pulley I will have to then source a pulley remover and set aside time to install it etc. Plus no sale advantage on pulley right now.

Get the stage 1 and tcu now while it's on sale. You'll want the tcu tune later when going stage 2. You'll save some coin doing the pully install yourself so don't sweat it.

You could always go with a larger crank pulley...no special tools required and replaces a known failure item.

Believe me, I want to do that. I don't think APR will let me flash to stage 2 without their pulley. It's going to happen regardless as this time around I will do a dual pulley setup

I have an extra code for APR stage 2. I purchased their pulley and used epl as my tuner. If you are interested if purchasing the code let me know.

tcu ! especially since you are b8.5 with the rev limiter set a 6.2k, its fun beeing able to shift at 7.2k

2013+ Guys should be going ECU and TCU before the pulley upgrade. You will want to regain that power lost from 6700-7100 before adding more power. The low end is know, but I would do both software items while they are on sale :)

Thanks for all the replies. I got the ECU and TCU done this morning. Picking it up this evening. Time for a pulley... or two
