S4 and RS4 production number request for the greater good - we'll see

Hi,

I submitted a request to the Audi of America customer care link. Looking around for 2005 S4 cabriolet manual vehicle production numbers did not turn up anything on the forum. I submitted once on my behalf to Audi but did not hear anything back. Perhaps most of Europe is on summer Holiday? :-)

Anyway I decided to follow up with a more general question for the S4/RS4 group as a whole:

Hi,

I belong to an Audi Enthusiast web form - Audizine. One of the popular questions on the site involves production numbers for the B5, B6, B7 and B8 S4 and RS4 vehicles. I sent a previous inquiry about a week ago but have not heard anything yet pertaining to that inquiry. BUT - I thought it could save a greater good if I put in a single request for the group itself? I am not alone when I say that I am very proud of my Audi.

Would it be possible to have someone research each model year that S4s and RS4s were produced in the US and Canada?

Breakdowns for each year could show the number cars sold in US vs Canada, the number of Sedans, Avants, and Cabriolets. Then the number of cars sold by paint color, and further by interior color, and then finally by automatic and manual transmissions. Further breakdowns of interest such as Navigation packages could be helpful too - and even the rarest 5 combinations by year.

My original inquiry was pertaining to how many black 2005 Audi S4 cabriolets were sold with a manual transmission and gray leather interior.

Anyhow - thanks again for your help and have a great day.

Nah Audi of America is right here in Virginia. When did you send out the request? It took them a few days to reply to me when I was looking into avants. I think they ask for a VIN number though

It was about 5 days with the original submission. Thought the AoA folks would have to talk to the folks overseas - I was just giving them an 'out' because I expected a faster response. I've submitted my VIN twice so I should be actively circulating in their office by now.

Would be nice to get a complete breakdown for the S4s/RS4s rather than separate requests.

quick update

Veronica from AoA responded to my 2 emails. They were backed up and she apologized. They are looking into my sub-model production numbers and will get bask to me soon.

Also - they are reviewing my secondary TOTAL S4/RS4 production number request. I am not sure how far they will get.

I will report back when contacted.

Would folks know if I can identify what engine # my car came with, and what car my engine # came with? I'm not sure the block in my car is original and I couldn't match the engine # to any number on the owner's manual.
