Hey guys,
I have a 2008 S5 (manual). When starting the car the other morning I immediately received the parking brake and airbag fault lights. My parking brake still works. From what I have read it seems that this is common and can be from the parking brake switch, the maf, a loose connector, or from a defective airbag module. I have ruled out the maf as I tried a brand new one, cleared the codes, and no luck (the wires looked fine and snug as well).
I have two codes:
049489 - No Communications with Airbag Control Module
01321 - Control Module for Airbags (J234)
I get the feeling that the airbag module has failed or is unplugged. Can anyone point to where the J234 module is? Or where the connectors to it are? All of the connectors under both front seats are snug and no obvious damage to any wires.
