    B9 A4 premium speakers question

Hi everyone! New member here just switched out from 2013 BMW 320 and so far IM LOVING IT!

However i was quite disappointed at the sound quality. As I didn't want to pay for B&O sound system upgrade, I still had some expectation of their premium speakers.

Do you guys feel the same way about the bass? the BMW 320 I drove had decent sound quality as well and I didnt do any upgrades.

Any possible solutions aside from install aftermarket Bass? Just trying to minimize the expense here as this car's lease is relatively more compare to my old car :)

    Thanks for any feedback guys!

I'm currently driving a B9 A4 Loaner with the premium speakers.. To be honest I thought the speaker has a pretty clear and full sound for just the regular Audi system.

I have the 500w B&O in my B8 S4 and I've spent an extended amount of time in the new 700w B&O 3D system from the B9 Prestige. Obviously those systems are far superior but I think I could live with just the premium speakers if I didn't have a choice.

I'm interested in hearing if anyone has any tips for boosting the sound of the Audi system tho.

Ahhhh...okok. Rest of the sound is super crisp. Just for some reason i feel like its lacking the bass. And also when I sit in the backsit, the side speakers seems muffed....sounds like the volume is lower on purpose...

In my 2015 A3, I have an option to alter the direction of the sound (e.g., more in the front, more in rear, center, etc). I would imagine you have the same if not a few other options.

Go into the MMI Sound and play around there.

stupid question, but did you adjust the settings for your sound system? Possibly share what those settings are at and others might be able to add input?

RudyH, I'm at +4 Treble and max out on bass....Focus on "ALL" instead of "Front" and balance and fade is right dead center.

I tried several combinations and sounds seem to be off still. I literally had to turn my ipod status to bass booster for something decent.

And I'm definitely not considered to be a bass head =D

Localh85: can you tell me how MMI sound system works? MAybe thats the secrey behind it!

With B8's a lot of members did a sub upgrade and were able to place the sub in the stock location. Helped a lot. Depending on how many watts are going to the sub, you may not even need an additional amp. Not sure about system details with the B9s though.
