    Get a bottle jack. The OEM jacks are known to fail hence the name "widow maker"

    I got a bottle jack but have to drive up onto 2x4s so it will fit under the pinch weld. I worry if there is a roadside flat that I will never be able to fit it underneath.

    Then find a standard jack that comes in most cars. The Audi ones have known to fail. I would not want that to happen.

    Bottle jack or regular floor jack + jack stands is the ideal.
