Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Might be a long shot, and I know someone had one for sale a while ago.

I'm looking for an OEM trailer hitch assembly for a facelift 2013 Q5. I'm located in Denver, and am willing to pay shipping.

Let me know if you have one! Thankssss

I installed the Drawtite OEM style hitch on my SQ5. Looks just like OEM at a fraction of the price.

Thanks! Let me think about it. I can source it locally for about the same price. Was hoping I could find a lightly used one though.

Woah, that's much cheaper! Why the huge price difference from OEM? Does it hang down any lower than the factory one? I'm lowered and don't want it sticking down too far and scraping the ground, I don't feel like I would have any issues with the OEM style.

Do you have photos installed?? Thanks for pointing me in this direction tho! Looks much better than other aftermarket hitches for the Q5.

Sure, here is a pic of it installed. It doesn't hang down low at all. Pretty much exactly where the OEM hitch sits.

Thanks! Looks exactly like OEM. I may have to go this route!

Did you cut the opening yourself? good job.

Where is the wiring harness bracket?

The OEM's ability to be inside the bumper was a big deal for me, but man yours looks amazing. I am doing mine ASAP if that's teh case

I did cut it myself. The inside of the removable bumper panel has a template that I followed with a dremel. I am not running a wiring harness because I am just using it for a bike rack. I love that everything is hidden.

I should mention that on the regular premium/pp Q5 there is not bumper cutting required for the Drawtite hitch nor the factory hitch.

i know what you're referring to, but i believe Gluca685's referring to the square cutout in the removable panel so that the hitch can pass through when the removable panel is reattached.

as for the much cheaper price on etrailer, part of that difference is that it doesn't come with the electronic hardware (for trailer lights and brakes) that the dealer installed stock hitch would come with.
