I think that sound is the front sway bar bushing saying "grease me". If the rubber bushings are not packed with grease, or the bar wrapped with Teflon tape, there will be a popping / clanking noise.

I just had my upper control arms replaced and I'm having the same sound, could they be the issue?

They were run in the rain here in Denver
I greased my sway bars after the local shop that installed them didn't do so on install

If the person that replaced your upper control arms didn't preload the cars weight before tighten the upper bolts where the rubber bushings are they will creak and cause premature wear on them.
