RS3 Exhaust Tips / Rear Valence

I am looking at changing out the stock exhaust tips on the S3 for something a little larger. I already have the resonator delete and will be getting a downpipe, so no need for an entire system. Lots of people go with 90-100mm quad tips, but has anyone gone with the RS large single ovals? They measure at 150x95mm so they may look a little small in the stock S3 valence cut-outs. And on on that note, has anyone put on a RS3 style rear valence on the S3 sedan (will the stock RS3 valence fit our sedans)?

I know if you want the oval tips you should buy an RS car, but I don't have that kind of money and they look sweet. So, anyone tried this yet or will I just have to wing it and hope it looks alright?

You'd need an exhaust system like the RS that merges the two pipes on each side into one (to keep the OE valve functionality), or you'd have to just build yourself a custom exhaust.

Planning to do something similar to the Milltek system in the picture, with a collector to one pipe for the oval tip. just hope it doesn't look odd with the S3 valence.

I like the RS exhaust tips too. We have an RS5 in the family and I have looked at the tips more than once and thought they would be perfect on the S3.

I'm building a custom setup using the RS style ovals with dual inlets in the ovals next month. I'm waiting for the tips to show up from Germany I'll post pics when it's all said and done

yes the OEM S3 exhaust has valves at the rear muffler.

canceled my order as shipping was more expensive then the tips themselves would have been!
Found a local shop I'll be heading to today to get a mock up on the tips who can do rolled edges to look OEM and not just raw metal.

But I ordered them from HMS tuning.. $400 USD shipped

Damn that's nuts. I found some rep stainless tips online for $200 shipped. May order them and see how they look.

What size tips are you having them make?

but they were custom making them to specs compared to how they normally have them made.

going to be 160MM X 110MM with dual 3" going into the back

That's gonna be great. I think the stock 150mm width may be a little small for the stock cutout. Let me know how they end up.

I'll post up some pictures when its all finished up.. might do wider and taller if the 160mm looks too small also lol

Got a quote for the rear section out of titanium, going to pull the trigger and do it just waiting for the rest of my parts to show up first.
as for the oval tips the ones from Germany seem to be the most cost effective way at $400 for both. The shop said it would be 400 a piece to custom make them as they only use titanium for their exhaust systems. So as of now I just need to place the order for the tips or bit the 800 bullet on custom titanium tip

These are great but no different than the other quad tip setups. We are discussing going to dual ovals like the RS cars.
