I'm fairly new here, but most of the forums I've been on have a thread for everyone to post their orders and statuses. I figured I'd start one here since I know I'm not the only one who's placed their order.

Got the "1. Ordered" email on 7/5/16 and I'm anxiously awaiting the Build email. My salesman doesn't seem to know much about tracking these orders, so I think I may be in the dark for most of the build process. He was pretty new, and I think I was one of his first sales, if not his actual first sale. Maybe that helped me get a good discount without any real negotiation.

I know. I like the look of the flat bottom, but the round is more comfortable based on the way I hold the wheel when I'm driving long distances. I've actually found the flat bottom in my RS5 uncomfortable at times. Plus, with my job, being able to have a warm steering wheel feels great after being outside in the winter.

I placed my order on May 10th, my dealer also has kept me in the dark a bit as far as status updates, but as of Monday he said the Dealer ETA in their system was showing the week of 7/18. My build is as follows:

I ordered my 2017 S6 on April 19. This is my first Audi, I have had 7 BMW's, my last being a '13 650 xi Grand Coupe.
My S6 arrived at the port in Davisville on 6/30. The last check shows that it is still at port waiting for carrier assignment. I asked my dealer why it's taking so long to get on the truck, he said that "they are awaiting official release of the A6/S6. The only 2017 models that have been released are Q7’s and A4’s. All other 17’s appear to be held at the port." I have never heard this before. So here I wait.

Unfortunately they do this every model year. They wait for "official release date" meaning sell off as many 2016's as possible since they won't be able to move them or they'll have to offer severe discounts once the 2017's are out.
I have a 2015 and they are already hounding me to get a "special deal" on a 2016 by the end of July...trying to move them prior to 2017 release.

Well you all have me beat. I placed my order on May 10th. Revived the your order has bee placed email from Audi on May 18th. I was told my car would not arrive till October! Do some dealers get priority over other dealers? I did get 6% (Audi Club) off and wondered also if Audi put those further down the queue... Only 3 more months, 2 1/2 if I am lucky?... :-/

It might show up next week around July 27th, which seems to be typical for Audi.

If you know your commission number I can check the system for you. The status you want to see at this point is, "released to carrier."

DDIXON7, thank you that is super nice of you. I believe it is #JY4404. The dealers just don't seem to understand (or care?) about the crazy amount of anxiety or obsession we get waiting on this major purchase to arrive.

Not a problem! Looks like your car is still at port (arrived there 7/5), and is showing it should get to your dealer the week of the 25th. The only thing that could slow that down is if Audi decides to hold the MY17 cars at port for there usual reasons. Gorgeous spec btw! That interior option is going to look stunning under the Nardo Exterior!

Thanks for the update. Kind of sad I have to wait another week but at least I know. I've been in "waiting" mode since October 2015 when I originally ordered an S7, then in March I cancelled that since it hadn't arrived yet, and ordered a '16 RS7, then in April I was told that was going to be changed to a 2017 order. So, I'm at 9 months of waiting!!

I don't want to step on another dealers feet, but there is no reason any Audi Order should take 9 months, even with model year change over. I have 2017 R8 customers who placed orders 2 months ago and there cars will be here in October. That includes the factories month long vacation in August. Regardless your car will be worth the wait!

how are you getting R8's with the stop on them due to carbon fiber problems?

None of our currently placed orders have been effected by the shortage. Or at least not yet that we have been notified. Both I am referring the are plus models.

I just ordered my 2017 s6 prestige in mythos Black with all the options minus B&O sound system and the red interior my discount was just over 9% but i wont have to pay any of the taxes so that saves me a ton...any word on if the 2017 gets the virtual cock pit?

It does not get virtual cockpit, that will be for the 2018 redesign. Most notable update you will have is Apple CarPlay

yeah part of me wanted to wait to get the virtual cockpit but Im glad I didn't thats would have been a year sharing a car and getting rentals here in Germany. however I did find the real 2017 s5 here at the audi factory and took it for a drive it does have the virtual cockpit (however I don't think the US spec car has it..the us spec 2017 seems to be a rehash of the 2016 for the a5/s5)..but I didnt find myself using it as much as i thought i would or even noticing it while driving

I am new around these parts, am on my third Audi (03 A6 2.7T, '08 A8L, currently '11 A8L) and searching for my fourth.
For anyone who has ordered a '17 S6 in the last 3 months, can you tell me what percentage you got off of MSRP? Money factor, residuals for leases? In the process right now and have been quoted 5% off MSRP on my build. .00099 MF with 56% residual on 36 month lease (low miles- only needed 7500 per year).
Unfortunate, and not surprisingly, I am getting reamed on my A8 trade in- easily $4k low.

I tried ordering it earlier in the month but the sales guy said he couldn't get this order in with a black optic package. I would either have to not get the black optic or I would have to get a premium plus instead and add black optic to that but forgo the extras that prestige gets you. I finally got tired of waiting to see if they could figure it out (~2 weeks) and asked for my deposit back. All of a sudden they found a way to add the package after the order had been placed. The whole process was weird but hopefully it shows up correct!

Now that I read this thread I still haven't received any email saying the order was placed.... I might have to call the dealer.
