    O2 Sensor Spacers for B7 S4????

Does the spacer need a restrictor orifice in it? or does a straight bore work? I'm thinking about using these... but if the orifice isn't needed there are much cheaper options...

Am I correct in that the spacer slows the velocity of the exhaust gases passing the sensor so it won't throw a CEL with piggies? (pre-cats only)

    Thanks

Do not space out the pre cats o2 sensors! I accidently did that and the engine was running super rich. Do it on the main cats sensor. You won't get CEL. I passed smog with just regular spacers

Good to know... I wasn't planning on spacing the pre cat sensors, but it seems that some people have been confused by this.

What spacer did you decide to go with, it looks like some of the fixed body type have smaller a orifice than others...

Being farther out, they allow the sensors to read that the exhaust is running at normal velocity. But they aren't guaranteed to work for everyone. IMHO, I wouldn't even waste your money on the spacers, though. You're better off going with the JHM tune to get rid of the CEL, plus you get a fantastic bump in hp and tq, launch assist, etc...
The most dangerous phrase in your vocabulary is "good enough".

August birthday... JHM tune is on the way, I just am figuring I'm going to have time to pull the DPs and gut the pre cats before I get the tune... want to have all the parts lined up ahead of time.

Hrm.... would it be worth re-locating the 2nd O2 sensor behind the main cat? (if you have a buddy with a welding machine)

I used ebay stainless steel spacers and they work just fine no engine light. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-O2-OXYGEN...ZW5-Ka&vxp=mtr
