Hello all. I have been lurking in the forums for a bit trying to find a situation that is similar to mine and I can't seem to find one. 2008 A4 B7 with roughly 85k miles.
I live in the southern USA and its been fairly hot this summer and have never had an issue with my AC. A few weeks ago, I noticed that it seemed like it was blowing slightly warmer and stopped off at Autozone to fill the freon. Seemed a bit low so filled it up and I didn't notice any difference in cooling.
Fast forward a month or two and I've figured out what is going on. When the AC blower is on high for some reason after a while it will start blowing hot air, go into Econ mode but it will also disable the radiator fan and AC fan. Obviously, there is something in the middle causing all of this but I can't seem to pinpoint it.
When the AC blower in the cabin is on low to medium speed, everything seems to be ok. All the fans in the engine are on, AC blows cold and it never goes into Econ mode.
I have taken this into 2 different shops and they can't seem to duplicate this and everything is working fine. Do any of you know what could be going on? Suggestions on how to fix this or attempt to fix this? I don't want to put a lot of money into fixing this cause it seems that everything else in the car is working fine.
Thanks for the help.
