Hbracer93's Audi Exclusive Viper Green Build

For years I have been a Honda guy, I have done a couple all motor builds...a 200whp LS/Vtec and my most significant, a 318whp K20/24 build. I moved and bought a Focus ST that had standard bolt-ons and swore that I would never go back to all-motor ever again. I never really had any experience with german cars except for my wife VR6 Golf she had, a 98 I believe.

Well my wife got a new job and moved back to the states early and I needed a new car for me, but so she had a car to drive in Cali. Naturally I wanted a Focus RS, coming from the ST that I really liked it was a no brainer. Unfortunately for me she got the job sooner than expected and the RS hadn't been released in the states yet, so my car search began. Of the many cars on the market I was considering a Golf R, but it was just to plain looking to sport a R badge...so that was out. A Subaru STI, while being manual was a plus I was in the $40k price range after I built it how I wanted form the factory. That was also the issue with the RS $45k the way I wanted it and it was still a Focus. So about a year ago I saw the Audi S3 in the Exclusive package, and was like thats what I want, although to my surprise only 5 were made and they were $60k...yeah right I thought, I'd never find any of those cars for sale and definitely not in my price range.

Well, when it came time to actually look for a car I found just that, a Viper Green Audi Exclusive with 300 miles on it and at $50k. After completely writing the car off because it didn't have the black optics package and I hate chrome/aluminum, I opted for a prestige S3 in white I think the price was $47.5. Then the day after I get the loan, and I'm waiting for my wife to fly to Vegas to get the car she turns to me and says, "I'm surprised you didn't get the green one"...well shit, you're right. So I called the dealer and I got $46.5 plus the documents fees. Tax is no issue for me as being a New York Resident and active duty military, sales tax is waved. So without seeing in person or test driving an S3 I purchased my S3, and I still have a few months before I will be able to see and drive it.

I can say this, even though I have yet to see the car, and I truly hate the fact that it doesn't have the Black Optics Package. I am very happy that I got the Exclusive, and could potential hold on to this car...for at least longer than 3 years which is my going average for cars.

Now I also said that my next car would be on air, so waiting at my house in the states is a full AirLift Performance 3P Performance kit. Which I got from BagRiders.com, at an awesome price...Huge thanks to those guys and gals. I will post plenty of pictures of the install and the finished product.

How are your bags holding pressure? My fronts lost all pressure overnight but my tears are good. Prolly need to tighten up my front air lines again.

So far they are holding with no problems. Definitely re tighten them and see what happens.

I couldn't believe how good the car drove on them. Mag ride in comfort mode was harsh compared to these. Not to mention no lights on the dash ! I was figuring the kw delete kit wouldn't work correctly

What settings did you go with for damping ? I'm trying 15 for now

Yeah I didn't have mag ride so that saved me some money. Haha. I left them at 15. What pressure do you run. I do 51 FL 47FR and 60 in the rear.

Honestly haven't messed with the pressure or presets much yet,I have my stock rims in the back seat and stock suspension in the trunk. Once all that weight is out I'm going to set up the Pre sets

But in that picture I posted it was 0psi front and 49psi rear. That looks the best I think aired out. Driving height will most likely be 45psi Front 65psi rear

Wonder if you could have installed the components and still retained the spare? Seems to be a lot of room in those cubbies around the spare:

You could move the compressor into the top corner and prolly place the jack and stuff in the other cubbies, but I have 2 JL audio 10" subs I'm install in that empty space where the tire would go.
