    Injector pulse issues.

So my car is having a hard time starting. It has gradually gotten worse. The last time it would not start I went over everything. It had crank Signal, fuel pressure was good, verified with my gauge, spark was present and the injectors had ignition voltage. It was however missing ground signal to the injectors.

The car has no faults, it's only a problem when starting. It's never stalled out once running. At this point I would think Engine control module, but when it won't start the injectors will fire through VCDS.

    Any ideas?

Doesnt that ground run through the fuel pump relay? Perhaps check it for burnt contacts, or swap it out with a known good. Though usually if it was this bad you would get a mess of short to ground codes.

I know the power runs through the fuel pump relay, unless Im reading the diagram wrong the ground comes direct from the module. I replaced the coolant temp sensor for the computer on a whim, I think it fixed it. Never would have thought.

oh god. yes... that piece of shit causes all sorts of cold start/hot start problems, rich conditions, you name it.

although damn odd it would interfere with your ground.
