Hey guys I have a 99 A8 d2 and have a 7-8 cylinder misfire. I searched for the icm location and what I found says it's under plastic trim behind the washer fluid reservoir cap.
    Unfortunately they are not there.
Does anyone know where to find them?

it's not the ICM. you would lose more than 2 coils if it was bad.

Try swapping the 7/8 coilpacks with 3/4. (helps to label the coilpacks before moving them around0
    clear codes.
    run it again.
pull new codes to see if the misfires follow the coilpacks. If so, you know what's bad.
If codes stay with cylinder 7/8 then you may have a bad ICM or wiring. (doubtful)
