OK, I searched the threads and found nothing.

My Bentley manual does not call the torque out but the Haines manual I have does and I am wanting to check it.

    84 in*lbs or 7 ft*lbs seems light.

    is this correct?

It is 10Nm according to AllDataDIY.com for the 1.8t
This should be correct since it matches the 2.7t which for sure is 10Nm.

    Yep 10 Nm which is a touch over 7 ft-lbs (88.5 inch-lbs).
I just got done pulling and re-installing the cams in my 1.8T (CCT gasket/seal, front cam seals, replaced CCT chain guide pads).

When you're removing those bolts, it's a bit misleading on the torque. I had to use vice grip pliers on every intake-side cam cap bolt! And one of the exhaust-side bolts broke my Lisle T30 Torx socket...
