    2010 JHM Tuned V8 S5 - Clutch Recommendation Needed!!

So the day has come... Took my car into Audi after experiencing a very difficult time shifting only when the car is hot.

    Then I got the call.

Svc rep: "Hi this is Mr. Service rep at Audi..."

Me: "I'm sitting down... give it to me straight"

Svc rep: "Well... you need a Clutch, flywheel, throwout bearing, etc... they should all be replaced. We found massive chunks of clutch that were sitting around some panels that they removed... it'll eventually get to the point where your car won't move"

Me: "... do I dare ask how much this will cost?"

Svc rep: " (takes a breath) well, all-in we're looking at roughly $5,600 or so... before tax"

Basically, I told him to button it up since I'm not trying to spend $6k on a clutch today - especially when I'll be able to get a more performance oriented setup installed for close to half of Audi's quote, maybe less.

So now I'm here looking for recommendations. I have just about full bolt-ons (minus the SC and HFCs -may be a good opportunity to install the high flow cats actually). I go to the track maybe 2-3 times each year and like most of us here, I do enjoy on-ramps and the occasional spirited drive.

was looking at Southbend Stage 2 daily. Thoughts? Suggestions?

    Thanks!

I went with spec stage 3+. I have the 2010 4.2 with jhm tune, catless etc mods. So far about 10 launches on the clutch and i beat the living shit out of the car everyday banging gears and it still leaves skid marks when launching.

How is it for every day driving? Does your left leg get a major workout?

Definitely suitable for street use? I really want to stay somewhere close to stock in terms of how much pressure is needed to step on the clutch pedal.

Honestly there isn't really a noticeable difference from what i can remember. If anything it is very slight, you just feel it grip better than normal.
