Because my special delivery from Audi Germany via Audi Bastia had just arrived at the hotel.

B9 A4 rear spoiler... Not much here and unlike my B6 A4 rear spoiler it is hollow and according to the manufacturing date it was made in early August of 2015 almost a year ago! Can't understand why it is still only available as a part in Germany at this point.

The rear spoiler was 201 Euro (VAT excluded) or just under $300 CAD shipped to me in Calvi Corsica where I am at this time until Friday. The Audi dealer in Bastia Corsica ordered it for me directly from Audi Germany because this part is not yet available through Audi France nor is it available in Canada at this time.

PART NUMBER... 8W5071641 9AX... Price was just under 201 Euros (VAT excluded) here in France or about $223 USD at today’s exchange rate.

Back from my month long trip last night... Brought the rear spoiler in to the dealer today (Saturday) so that they can get at work on it first thing Monday morning.

Went to see the car downstairs and test fit the new rear spoiler and here's what it looks like...

Wow. I wasn't even aware there was an another spoiler from Audi other than the carbon fiber one which I just received. As such, no painting is required however, there are no instructions that I have been able to obtain. The dealer was no help. They only told me that they would charge me about an hours labor and $80 for some required adhesive along with using some double sided tape. I found some Audi adhesive at Audi parts online which was listed for $34. Used the part # and found it cheaper on Ebay for $5. Score 1. It turns out that this recommended adhesive glue is just windshield adhesive with Audi labeling. All I need now is some instructions for install as the Audi dealer didn't want to hand over their freshly printed copy and the dealer I bought the spoiler from says they don't have any available in the parts department. I asked a friend who works at the dealer to see if he could speak with a tech. Al the tech told him was that he would use double sided tape. Nothing more. Any ideas? Anyone have a line on instructions? I've never installed a spoiler which had no template, bolts, or screws, that came with it.

The windshield adhesive may be fine if it's tape, but if it's a liquid or gel, I would not use it. Personally, I suggest that you go with 3M double-sided Molding Tape. It is super strong and is what typically comes with spoilers. There are a few different part numbers for varying widths, etc but here's an example...

There was an official Audi installation kit available (with a part number) for this spoiler but I decided not to buy it.

I'm told any decent body shop could install this spoiler but it will be permanently be glued on and not with double sided tape.
