    Overheating issue

About a month and a half ago my car was running hot in traffic at least a tick, it then ended up dying when I was going up a canyon. I was able to do a u turn and drive it down once it cooled off. Now it's been running hot and has died in traffic several times, always will start back up after it cools down. Oil doesn't get super hot just the coolant. I've also had the radiator upper hose pop off several times this month. I've got two electric fans but still doesn't seem to be staying cool enough. I ordered a new cts but I'm thinking it's a more serious issue (possibly thermostat?)

    Overheating issues are fun!

I've been through this a couple times and there are a few things you should check. Do all of your fans work? You can run power/ground direct to the fans to ensure they turn on. You'll want to check that the fan control module is working (mounted on underside of DS frame rail, iirc). The fans should kick in at certain temp points and always when AC is on.

Here - I found my old thread. Hopefully it helps you troubleshoot - http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ux-fans-module
