Best way to mount S4 badge on RS grille...

Yes yes I know search... well I did that and I found multiple people that glued the badge on. I trimmed down the badge so the base would fit the length of the honeycomb mesh and glued it however it still feels unstable. Did anyone else find a better way of doing it?

I would suggest silicone, construction adhesive that is made for plastic or 2 part epoxy. I would not trust regular glue on the front of my grill.

Install with Epoxy - have some painters tape handy to hold in place - a level so you can ensure you (have it level) - file to file areas as needed (i used a flat section to adhere to in the honeycomb)
Ad do all of this before you install the grill....just easier to adjust things before the epoxy cures - and before it hardens so you can make final adjustments and secure where you want it w/painters tape

I used JB Weld. Made it flat and taped it in place, then covered the back of it with the JB Quick Weld (orange and black tubes) and around the honeycomb. Can't be seen and is very sturdy.

I used painters tape to mark the location of where I wanted the emblem and make sure it was level. I applied some Gorilla glue that works with plastic. I put glue on all the edges of the grill that would be covered by the emblem. I pressed and held the emblem to the grill for 60 seconds then let it cure with no force. An hour later I couldn't pull the emblem off the grill and I was using a fair amount of force. 2 months later the emblem is still there and it's sat through some very hot summer days and been washed weekly. I'm guessing the plastic will break before the glue fails.

One last tip. I located the emblem on a place of the grill where the emblem touched the honeycomb with the following outline... hopefully this makes sense.

I always use a little chewing gum on these rides. It filters out the pollutants. Of course you've got some good grillwork there to keep out the ozone. I gotta get this thing up to 95, uh, check out the fluorocarbon output.

I used epoxy. I also afixed it with the grill OFF the car so that it could lay flat while drying. It's cemented on and not going anywhere

    I left mine off. LOL.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

I carefully cut out the parking sensor that was in the grille - used a dremmel to cut a horizontal line into it...then placed the S badge into that cut. From there...hot glue. I will state that I have some concerns in cold weather, if the glue hardens, but at least I have some sort of physical connection.

Shoe Goo. Still strong and perfectly aligned as day one, almost two years and hundreds of washes.

I'd strongly suggest against glue and toward an epoxy. Glue may hold for a year or even more, but when it goes you'll look at your car and realize the S symbol is gone. Get a good Epoxy and the only way it's coming off is an accident.

+1 Gorilla Glue 2-step epoxy. Used it to attach a new "R" badge on my XFR grille.

my grill came with a new badge and just clips on. It looks good from far but if your right up on it, you can tell its not factory.

Epoxy putty tape. Formed it around the back tab of the badge, pushed it in place, cut away the excess BEFORE it dried. It's been solid for over a year, rain, car wash, Florida heat and humidity and its solid. On the other hand, if I had to take it off for some reason I would be screwed.
