    2.7T no crank condition

    No cranking with key.
Cranks with 12V directly to starter solenoid.

Does anybody have the wiring diagram for the starter circuit?
Can't think of anything that can cause 'no crank' since it is mostly 'non computer'. Immo does not suppress crank. Sensors don't suppress crank (AFAIK).

Is there a starter relay? Location?

Changed the ignition lock, no change.

You probably forgot to plug in that one-pin connector near where ECU harness goes through firewall grommet. This little wire energizes solenoid which is, for all intended purposes, the relay that activates started from "always hot" wire from battery.

single on passenger side going to starter solenoid is plugged (that is actually the one we used when manually putting 12V on the solenoid (and then it cranks).

Is there another single more on driver's side?

No, I meant to say battery cable not ECU cable, sorry for that.

Ask stratocu510 on quattroworld.com allroad forums for access to his trove of factory manuals so that you can look at diagrams and all the other goodies.
