Yesterday I drove a B6 S4 up the hills here in Colorado. Motor just had chain service, new valve stem seals, headgaskets, and so on.
Car is running fantastic besides a loose alternator wire that i will get to this week.
I was climbing one of our mountain passes when I looked in rear view a d noticed that i was blowing smoke out exhaust. I slightly smelt the burning oil also. I was doing about 80 mph, 5th gear and 3700-4000 rpm.
It was not constant. It would start smoking after carrying that speed for a few minutes. Then it would go away once i let off the gas and it would not come back for a few minutes. Zero smoke on flat groung driving, start up or heavy acceleration off the line.
The car is all stock except for full catless miltek exhaust.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance
