Hey guys, so ive been watching my temps lately and noticed on my vag-com that my temps are getting up 100-107°C mark whilst my temp gauge just happily sits at 90°C. Just doesnt seem right to me, but id the usual?

Also wondering if the fan/s should be kicking in at this point?

And should my fan be running everytime my aux water pump is running?

I just put a new water pump, temp sensor and coolant in yesterday, yet its still the same story.

Would like some insight before i go and buy an overly priced control module.

( both fans DO work when the heater is on if this helps)...

    Thanks in advance!!

Sounds like it could be your thermostat, or did you replace that as well?

Perfectly normal : the temperature gauge on the dash is purposely "dumbed down" by Audi. The needle will stay on the center mark for actual coolant temps from about 175F to 225F. Above 225F the needle will rise off the center "normal" mark. This kinda makes the temp gauge useless...it is just really an "overheat" indicator. I always wondered if there was a VAGCOM setting in the Instrument Cluster to make the gauge linear.
