I'm noticing that my fuel pump is priming everytime I turn the key. For example when I turn the key I hear the fuel charge. I turn the key off and turn it back to the on position and I hear it charge again. I can do this again and again. Before it would not charge each time you turn the key. It would do it once. Subsequent times turning the key thereafter would not result in the fuel pump charging or priming. I would also like to mention that in the months previous I began to hear a rapid clicking sound rather than a smooth fuel priming charge sound. Also the charging sound I get now is not as audibly strong as before. I have read someone else's Post in the past about there being a check valve in the fuel pump, fuel regulator in the fuel filter and a tank mounted pump underneath the backseat. I did test the fuel pressure and it stayed at about 60 PSI steady on and off the throttle. Is my check valve bad and my pump is still good? also this is the newer fuel pump that was replaced under the recall several years ago. My fuel filter is also fairly new with probably about thirty thousand miles on it. Perhaps it's time to replace it?
