APR Stage 1 ECU & TCU Installed - First Impression 2016 S6

Just got my stage 1 upgrades done and for anyone who is on the fence about doing this...all I can say is DO IT! NOW!

Holy crap what a different car. The additional power and shift mapping in sport mode are fantastic. Then flip over to D and the ride is super smooth for highway cruising, but will instantly kick down when the power is needed. This is not to say the car is a slouch off the assembly line, but what a difference. Last step is to get the Roc Euro intake to complete the deal. Would like to go stage 2 but I think I am at about the limit of the wife's tolerance for money spent on mods after a $83k sticker...

Props to the guys over at Eurocode, they were very thorough and discussed every option before installing. Also went through a step by step how to when they were done. Would definitely recommend if you are in the SoCal area.

Yeah. It's an unpleasant reality, especially after buying the extended warranty... And then even more so when combined with concerns over emissions in CA.. Even for something as "light" as a CAI.

So far no issues, but have been out of town the last 2 days so not driving. Plan on doing more driving when I get back. Did have a chance to do one launch and actually got wheel spin.

I know what you are going through. I had a similar wait as well. But it is so worth it in the end. I have been driving a shitty Cadillac XTS rental car the last 3 days, and at least 5 times a day I wish I had my car.

I think I am going to pull the trigger on the APR ECU and TCU tune by the end of the month... I have the EuroCode Sways / Endlinks / x 3 Inserts. Those have been a great improvement, however I think the tune will be a great addition. I still have plans for RocEuro intake and do the resonator to X-pipe conversion. Maybe do the Stage II w/ APR DP's next year if I feel the car will need more .... ooomph. Been searching for peoples experience and mostly been positive with APR thus far.

Words of encouragement... I am sure the wife will be thrilled... she knows there is no cure for my disease.... everything I own/owned has been modified... even my chainsaw....

However, still want it to be a civilized daily driver I think with Stg. I intake and X-pipe it will be well rounded ride overall and not too loud or brash. Perfect sleep :)

I was told APR wasn't available for my 2016 A7, they have no idea when it will be out. My pulley is not a press on.
