I purchased a brand new fully complete 4.2 liter 40 valve S4 motor.
Plan is to install in my 2006 25th anniversary S4.
Question I have for anyone willing to add value is what should I replace and/or upgrade on motor before I install it?
I heard coolant line on back of motor can be troublesome.
I welcome your opinions and assistance. Thanks.

I didn't have problems with mine yet but others complained of leaky rocker cover gaskets, there is a replacement alternator for the older model that gives trouble, apart from replacing the timing chains etc as far as Iv’e heard there is a plastic chain guide that should be replaced with the RS4 metal item.

The B6 manual flywheels break up so fit the B7 or an alloy flywheel and B7 or RS4 clutch.

    Replace the clutch slave cylinder.

    See my install here https://daviem.wordpress.com/

I recommend the Accusump that you will see there too.

I have a few sets of headers made as they were slouch a good mod.
