    Inconsistent ride height

Recently I installed a rear sway bar + adjustable end links. Now the drivers rear sits 0.5" lower than all other corners. No, of course I didn't think to check beforehand (but it didn't jump out at me previously which makes me believe it was normal when stock). Right now all corners are 26.5" fender to ground, with the exception of the one corner, which is 26".

For what it's worth, I do recall that when I connected the bar to the end links, the driver's side mated up to end link easily, while the passenger side seemed pretty out of whack. Yes, the links themselves are adjusted to equal length. Any ideas for things I may have screwed up? Thanks!

Still stock springs (with mag ride). I'll be installing the ED springs shortly; just wanted to nip a potential problem first before doing that. Though I am thinking about going ahead with the install, driving it for a bit, then getting alignment and having them look at the height at that time.

Interesting about the ebrake...mine is always on when parked, will have to check without it!

Also...ground to fender or quarter isn't the most precise measurement. Panels and their placement on cars can have variances. So there is a high likelihood that the panel could be off from the rest.

Sounds like you may have pre loaded the bar. To avoid that you can disconnect the rear bar, put the car on the ground, and then re-attach the endlinks. You may also need to adjust the end links length to remove the pre load.

That totally did the trick, thank you! Now both sides are even, hooray.

OK, it's me again, the incompetent mechanic! After redoing the end links and getting a consistent 26.5" measurement on the rear, I then went ahead and installed the ED springs on all corners. After the springs were in the rear, I again redid the end links with the car seated on the ground. Height was level.

Went for a drive, came back, and now I'm uneven again. My guess was that things had settled into their mounts and so again, I disconnected the end links, made sure the bolts were as perpendicular to the sway bar as possible, and reattached. Current measurements are 25 1/4" on the driver's side, and 25 7/8" on the passengers.

Is the sway bar supposed to swivel up/down in its bushings? Does it matter how high / low I orient it when setting up the end links? Anything else I should try?

Wow...my ED springs were 24 7/8" rear on both sides WITH the supplied spacers. Even, but much lower. Hmmm.

Around 25" FTG is what most customers measure once everything is settled.

Is the bar greased and does it move freely. It sounds like it might be binding. Springs need to settle, so I would recommend getting a couple hundred miles on the car and then measuring again.

Weird. I'm at 25 7/8" at all corners with the exception of driver's rear which is at 25 1/4". Have a couple of hundred miles on the springs already. Taking the car in for an alignment tomorrow, so I'll see if they have anything to say about the one goofball corner.
