    Looking for United Motorsport Information

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    I have a B6 A4 1.8T manual Quattro with a United Motorsport tune
I purchased the car like this and looking for specifications regarding my installed tune.
    Octane level
    MAF
    Spark splug gap
    Proper boost level/peak
Is there a way with VagCom to indicate what stage is installed?

Anyone with info regarding UM tunes or can direct me to info?

Have you opened/accessed the ECU module in VAG-COM?
One of the fields should say something like "UNITED MOTORSPORTS...", and that might have more info regarding the specific tune.
Otherwise I would think you'd have to deconstruct the tune to learn more; unless you can find out from whoever flashed it.

Can you send the info under "Component" section to United Motorsport and see if they're able to provide additional info?

Well I'm assuming the S1 is Stage 1. Then the rest is a revision or version number. Most tunes these days auto adjust for octane. And boost is likely around what all stage 1 tunes boost, 20-ish psi.

Spark plug gap is, again, the same as all other stage-1 tunes .032". Though I ran .044" in my Stage 1+ APR tuned B6 for years with FSI 07K coil packs with not a single issue.

    Edit: I was wrong: http://www.unitedmotorsport.net/perf...ance-software/

Try calling UM and be persistent, they can be a bit slow to respond when they are busy (almost always). You can also try tone of their authorized dealers, and you can find the one closest to you fro the UM website.

To my knowledge, tunes do not automatically adjust for octane.

If it does it would be interesting to know how, knock detection?

I am in the same exact boat man. Bout my car with the United tune the dude said she knew it was tuned but forgot everything done to it. I really want to know so I contacted United and they were no help. Over the phone or email. I thought it might be as simple as giving them a vin and them sending me a recite of what they did. Would like to know parts and just basic info on stage one. I am planning on goin jhm and getting rid of the United tune all together. But still would like to know what all consists of United’s tune

They only have two of tunes for the B6 per their webiste - one for the stock turbo and injectors, and anther for a K04/GT28X with a VR6 MAF and larger injectors.

You should be able to determine which tune you have based on the other hardware that is on the car.
