2001 Audi S4 6sp FT stage III Brilliant Black

Background

I bought this car in February of 2011 with 96,500 miles from Denver, CO. It was initially from California. It was completely stock except for diverter valves. It was my daily driver for 3 years and has been a garage queen since. It has never seen the track. I change oil every 3k with Mobil 1- 0w40. Spark plugs were changed regularly every 15k or so. All work was done by performance shops in Minneapolis, mostly Nurtechnik. Has always been garaged. I have kept all receipts for work done. I have been very meticulous with it as you will tell from the ad. This car is my baby. It is in my soul. It will make me shed tears (literally) to see it go, but adulthood has hit. I purchased a Q7 since this isn’t meant for baby hauling. This car has been very good to me and has never left me stranded. FATS times are around 3.4 seconds on winter tires. Car is located in Bismarck, ND.

-This has made a slight noise again since around 115k, probably an install error but it was never enough to bother me. Has not gotten worse in 25k miles.

•Slight coolant leak from turbo feed. This has been there since stage 3 upgrade and hasn’t been a problem. The coolant does not reach the ground. Topped off using factory coolant once a year with maybe ½ quart of fluid.

•front bumper has a scrape from PO that is mostly covered by flares
•driver’s door has a small dent and scratch the size of a pea from a shopping cart (pictured)
•front bumper and upper grill area have normal rock chips
•These are all only noticeable within 5 feet, just want to include as much info as possible as to the condition.

Wheels
•New 19x10 ET25 Cast Rotiform IND-T wheels @140k *mint
•265/30/19 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires @140k *100% tread left
-A more aggressive setup could easily fit 275 or 285 tires. This setup does not rub at all, not even on large bumps.
•ECS 5mm spacers in rear @140k
•B6A4 OEM 17” sport wheels with Hankook winter I-pike (1-2 seasons of tread) with 25mm spacers
•265mm tires and a 034 rear sway takes cornering to a whole new level.

When I sold my car, I listed on those three websites. I figured that by listing it on Craigslist, I'd get people just wanting to test out the acceleration on the freeway, but a long time Audi enthusiast saw the ad and test drove and bought the car. The main thing is that some enthusiasts might not know of the various Audi websites, so listing on Craigslist may help. There is also Audiworld at http://www.audiworld.com/, but it seems like Audizine and Quattroworld get a lot more exposure.

It's a buyer's market for these cars right now. Unless you really need the money I wouldn't drop too far below what you actually want for it.

I think there is starting to be a change in the owner of b5s. I think with the b8 out now and prices on them coming down people are moving from the b5 to the b8. In turn that is causing younger people to the market of b5s and the reality is they don't have 10k+ to buy a b5. That's why you are seeing the 4-5k b5s selling even in the condition most of them are in.

Just my thoughts. There is an e85 stage 3+ where I live going for 8500 and has been for sale now a little over two month. A lot of car for the money and I thought it would be sold pretty quickly but it is a buyers market I guess now.

Glws it is a beautiful car, just have to be patient.

Update: just replaced timing belt, water pump, tstat, cam seals, tensioner, acc belt tensioner, upgraded to aluminum tstat housing, spark plugs, and new coolant.
