It probably could fit. But it is going to require a certain amount of spacers and/or fender rolling to get them to fit. There's people out there running 10 inch wide wheels. You can get anything to fit if you really want to. But they won't bolt up and go.

At stock height you will probably have to worry more about spacers than the fenders.

I ran 18x7.5 et49 with 225/40/18 with no issues. Still run them with coils on the car and only get some rubbing when turning on a hill.

FYI with tires that size your speedo will be off about 3% on the low side (you'd be doing 58 when seeing 60)

Yea 8 inch rims might be a little wide at that offset to clear the steering knuckle. Like red said, going to need spacers and probably fender role, might even end up going adjustable upper control arm route.

right now i am running 235/45r17 falkens on a 17x7.5 45 offset audi a6 c5 wheel. luckily i cleared without rubbing the steering knuckle in front or spindle in the rear.

I asked the same thing on an et35 wheel everything else being the same. It looks like 235/40/18 tires are best option to not worry about rolling fenders

Are you guys serious? The only thing wrong with the wheel is the size of the tire.

I'm running the B6 USP wheels and they're 18x8 et43. You want to run a 225/40r18 tire. You will clear with no issues

I bought a set of the same wheel with 235 40 18's. Did not fit. Rubbed rear spindle.

That's why you need the 225 tires. Slight stretch on the wheel won't hurt

245/40 is a little large, but will fit with spacers (fender roll/pull may be needed depending on vehicle height).

235/40 is a good size, but will require smaller spacers.

Further, what stock 17" or 18" Audi rims fit the B5 without the need for spacers and/or fender rolling?
