CF Rear Diffuser/Valence Recommendations?

I've tried searching the threads and had trouble pulling everything together so figured I'd make a new thread on this...

Looking at options for a carbon fiber rear diffuser/valence for my B8.5 S4. Enlaes is definitely too aggressive for my taste, Deval is slightly aggressive but could be do-able. Is there anything out there that is good quality and a little more subtle? I've found one or two, but they appear to just be overlays.

Any help (pictures!) is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Rieger has one for our cars that sort of looks like an rs4 valence. Looks pretty clean, no experience with the quality tho.

Well I have the Reiger one and it is a huge disappointment. First off, it's not really carbon fiber but just ABS Plastic with carbon fiber hydro dip. Second the mounting tabs provided have no hook like the factory one, so you have to figure it out for yourself. I drilled holes in the tabs for mine and used something like a cotter pin to hold in place. It does make for a fast removal, if needed. Third, mine didn't come with any instructions. Fourth, the screen that is provided comes unmounted so once again you have to figure out how to mount it with out drilling through the diffuser. I goop'd mine and it's still holding just fine.

I'll be switching to the Enlaes one in the future to match my spoiler.

I would say EurogearUSA(DEVAL)DEVAL is by far the best option in terms of quality and customer service.

I have the Reiger style as well, but must be from a different manufacturer as it actually is CF with mounting tabs like stock. The actual installation is however a bit of a challenge as you will need to make some small modifications (especially around larger tailpipes) for a proper fit. Removing the rear bumper skin is absolutely essential. With the help of set screws and some decent adhesive (hot glue works fabulously) mine worked out just fine...

I love mine from Deval. Picked it up from MOPS at SPP. The Enlaes one is LOUD, and only plays well on certain cars (IMHO).

Deval seems to be the best option right now...Enlaes is too aggressive, Rieger I don't like the looks or what I'm hearing.

Was hoping to find something a little more subtle, but Deval could possibly work with the look I have going on.

I would agree that if you are looking for subtle, Deval would be your best quality option. Good product!

I have the Rieger on pg 94/98 of the catalogue below, although I have an A5 and you will need the one on 68/69... was far cheaper than the rest when I was looking and shop didn't tell me about any issues when installing

Deval for sure. Quality is second to none.

That said, just spoke to the guys at Enlaes and they are in fact redoing their molds for a better fit.

One other option that worked for me (for now) was getting the stock diffuser painted gloss black.
I had the aluminum strip vinyled though because is so much more expensive than the diffuser if I ever went back to stock.

The Deval is gorgeous but not in the cards right now.

^^Nicely done. That looks really good. I did mine with matte black trim paint. Really wish I would have done black gloss after seeing yours.

Personally, I don't like any of the after market diffusers. They're all too aggressive for this car, even the Deval. These diffusers belong on high end supercars. On our cars, they look ridiculous in my opinion. That's why I like the this ^^ option the best. The stock diffuser is perfect for the car but the stock color Audi chose to use, plus that chrome strip makes it cheap looking. I was thinking wrapping my stock diffuser in CF vinyl.

Bruno, how much did you pay for this paint job if you don't mind me asking?

Our minivan was rear ended and the body shop is owned by a friend.
He painted the rear diffuser and my front STVBEK lip for free and worked in the cost of the paint into the van repair.
But if you have to pay then it shouldn't be more than 100-120 if you remove it yourself.

I showed it to my vinyl guy and he said not to do vinyl there as it will not go around the tightest areas very well and will not look good.

Painting is the way to go I believe.
But beware... the aluminum strip is worth twice as much as the entire valance to replace so I had that wrapped vs painted.

Love the Deval but wish they made a non-cf version like what comes on the S3. Are there any non-cf versions that anyone has come across?

I found some version of the stock diffuser in carbon fiber for than 200$.. its from China, but im tempted to try.. it says it wont fit sline or s bumpers but the measurements are the same.
