    Guys/Gals,

So today my 2006 127000 A4 decided to just not move, well drove out of the garage just fine and then won't move any further, had to put it back in neutral and push her back in. Dropped it in reverse and then sport but no joy, no engagement at all. WTH is happening, might it be that the gearbox is on it's way out? I have never changed the fluid, wonder if that's it.

Check your axles. You probably pulled one out of the CV. It's pretty common with worn suspension or mounts.

No codes and checked, all axles are all good. Had a grinding sound when returning to park though.

Recheck your axles. What you just described sounds exactly like an axle problem. Will grind when putting in park as the tranny is spinning/one axle is spinning

+ 1. Been there. CV's can look fine, but reach under and try to turn each axle while you are in neutral. If one of the four is disconnected from it's wheel, you're going nowhere.

    Thanks,

    I'll try this.
