Adding Additional Carbon Fiber Trim - dashboard/MMI surround - Thoughts?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I love the carbon fiber trim in my new B8 S4 and was thinking of adding (a little) more. I've seen some older posts of the dashboard CF trim and/or MMI surround. But I'm not sure if it would be too much--there is that fine line between too much and just enough. What are people's thoughts on them? does it become excessive CF--has anyone installed them and had buyers remorse?

    Thanks!

I was between hydro dipping it CF and painting it piano black...ended up going piano black and couldn't be happier. I have CF interior and had the exact same thoughts and sided with it would have been too much CF.

A lot of people have done that piece in carbon. Really completes the look IMO.

Can't really go wrong either way (as long as you match the carbon fiber). I bought the factory RS4 piano black piece and am very happy.

Where did you get the shifter? Looks like the ones listed on aliexpress... is that it?

I painted the trim surrounding the gages on my 2010 satin black and liked it. Piano and gloss black will also work. BUT, I found the black trim quickly collected dust. I have learned to live with the silver color on my current 2011. IMHO, CF would not be too much
