I would bet a little compound would take care of it followed by polish and seal.

Maybe. Bumper does pull out right at that point so assuming the plastic isn't damaged it could be as simple as reseating the bumper.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

I think the bumper pushed the 1/4 panel out of alignment, hood alignment is fine on the other side. See the gap between the 1/4 and the headlight?

This is why Dashcam's are awesome, especially when you don't have your own garage. On the bright side, this will buff right out lol

Yep, that sucks. Take it to a few body shops for an estimate. Decide if it's worth filing an insurance claim from there.

Yeah. I might try to remove the bumper and see if i can move the 1/4 panel back into place, maybe the bumper is just putting a ton of pressure on it the way its sitting now

I'm not sure that's something you can get back to like-new fit. The fender looks pushed in. It should not be too expensive to fix but seems there's not much bodyshops will do for less than 1k.
See if your work has a camera and review footage. My friend had his S4 hit at work and he was actually able to see who did it after reviewing several hours of footage in FF.
If you can't figure out who hit your car you may need to just pay out of pocket.

Dont know if that will be possible. I was in Denver for the week and noticed it when I got back, even if my parking lot does have cameras, i doubt they have a weeks worth of footage. Going to find out

Even the most basic CCTV systems have 30+ day DVR's these days. That being said (and if you find out there are in fact cameras on the lot), how much assistance you'll get will vary depending on your company policies and your role/relationships there. Some places are an open book and others will only release footage to law enforcement agencies.

It was at my apartment complex, just spoke to management and told them dates and such, they are going to try and pinpoint it for me. The same car parks next to me on that side every day...thinking the odds are it was them but hoping to find out soon.

Pop the hood and look at the clips/brackets on the headlight housing to make sure they are all intact. Last summer someone backed into my front driver side corner which left a dent in my bumper cover and the movement/deformation of the bumper pushed the headlight housing to the point that one of the brackets broke.

I hear ya. "This is why we can't have nice things", as they say.
Looking again at the photos it certainly does look like the 'corner' of the quarter panel, just below the headlight, was pushed in which caused the upper end to pop out of position. I'm wondering if the panel itself deformed, or if it just popped out of position. I do not know whether the fender is bolted in place all around if possibly it is "clipped" in at spots that may have been pried loose by this impact?

I am hoping its just misaligned. I didnt see and pinch marks or bends at all, thinking the bumper is putting pressure on it, or popped it out when it did.

Anyone know if the quarter is only held in by the bolts under the hood or if there are clips/ other bolts?

^^ on a 60k car I would not recommend you DIY for bodywork. Working on bent/creased metal is not as easy as it might seem.
The hoodline along the fender is off and the bumper looks off.
Get it professionally taken care of. It's not an 88 Corola. If you can afford a 60k car you should be able to get this repaired properly (insurance or not).

It's hit an run so while you may have to pay a deductible ($500?) they shouldn't tag you later for it. Not your fault and I believe it falls under comprehensive and not collision

Update : decided to go through insurance thankfully. Car has been at the body shop and I just received the ins companies supplemental estimate, just north of $6k to repair the damage shown above. New bumper, fender, headlight, rad support ect, all oem.

Nope, confronted the person I thought did it (the only person who parks next to me) and she denied it completely. Reviewed all the security tapes but they were inconclusive. You could've been watching someone hit my car on tape, but due to the angle there really was no definitive way to tell.

Did no-fault through my own insurance company, I was pissed, but now I just want my damn car back. Luckily I live walking distance to work.
