Differences between 034 and Eurocode trans/diff mount inserts?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Morning all,

I've heard plenty about the 034 trans insert but couldn't find much of anything about the Eurocode inserts. As you probably know Eurocode is currently having a sale on most items, mount insert included.

Even without the 'Summer of Love Sale' price of $40.50, the Eurocode insert sticker price is still 40% cheaper than the 034 equivalent. Is the Eurocode insert a clearly inferior product, perhaps due to less than optimal dimensioning? Or does Eurocode just know how to price a machined chunk of aluminum correctly? Any experiences with the Eurocode insert? I'm liking the availability of a black anodized finish, sticks out less than silver when Audi techs are under my car!

    Thanks in advance guys.

    Exact same product.
Life has taught me never try to make something idiot proof, they'll simply come up with a better idiot.
I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong.
I have neither the time, nor the crayons to explain this to you properly.

I think they are the exact same product as well.

Don't forget about Eurocode's outrageous shipping charges. Granted it will still be cheaper than the 034 mount; $21.97 to ship something that weighs less than a pound from Eurocode vs. the $10.21 034 charges, and that they don't tax, the difference is quite negligible at ~$10. At least for me that is, with shipping to my zip. Not sure who handles their vendor relations, but it certainly seems that Eurocode could get a better business account than what they currently have.

I believe their shipping costs were an error during their sale. I did not pay outrageous costs at all. I paid ~50 bucks to ship all of my mods. (below in sig). Caveat, I do live in Oregon, so it's closer to EC than most.

ECS has the same package using poly instead of metal for about the same as Eurocode but shipping is free I believe (or at least I thought I saw that on their site)

I had the 034 mounts in my car for a few weeks but, ended up pulling them out because they were making this annoying high-pitch whine. (There is a thread about this somewhere)

I wonder if the EC do the same.

If they don't I would be interested in a set as they removed quite a bit of slop.

Unrelated, @Dakkath I think I saw you crossing the I5 bridge into WA a few weeks ago.

Just received my 034 transmission insert today for my 2016 with 5,600 miles on the odo. Will probably install it tonight and report back.

Get up to 70-80MPH and make sure you don't hear anything.

Here is the thread about the noise: http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...ight=034+mount

I am not sure if the noise was coming from the trans mount or diffs as I put on and removed the full kit at the same time: https://store.034motorsport.com/034m...-aluminum.html

Instead of going with the 034 complete kit, I did end up deciding to go with ECS's differential inserts to help mitigate any NVH that have been associated with solid aluminum inserts. We'll see how it goes.

I've done all the Eurocode mounts and don't hear any noises at all... That coupled with their short shifter really makes shifting very tight and integrated. The rear end feels much more connected and allows for what seems like more power to the rear wheels. It's easier to kick the rear out than before. Don't notice any additional NVH, but stock these things shake and vibrate at idle anyways.

No strange noises up to 80mph to report. Will be going on a longer drive tomorrow. Will report back again.
