Trading my 04 S4 on an 09 Q7

Thinking about trading in my S4 for an 09 Q7 tdi.. any thoughts or what I should look for?? This is my second S4 love them but looking for something to pull some toys..

I would check to see if that 09 tdi falls into that diesel scandal...that is plaguing VW

I have an 09 TDI and it did fell into the diesel scandal.... That being said not sure how it will play out because I have a APR stage 1 tune. If you know the vin of the one you are looking at I think you can go to www.audiusa.com/about/diesel-information and run the vin.

I traded my B6 S4 for a Q7 last year.
Not as much fun, but a hell of a lot less maintenance

Ours has been solid. Only common major issue is the sunroof drains which can crack. Plenty of threads on that.

The only thing I wish I would have done is get a model year newer to get the 8speed vs the 6speed trans. I think it is the 2010 they started to put the 8speed in might be the 11 tho.

Issues I've run into.
Don't ever spill anything into the MMI controls (I made a big thread how to repair that)
Evaporator housing drain tube in the passenger foot well needs cleared out every one and a while so water doesn't pour into the cabin
Make sure the sun roof drain tubes (especially the rear right) is in good condition and that all electronics work (radio, nav, etc)
If its a model with Air Suspension, get records on service on those.
Since you are looking at a TDI, make sure its gotten a exhaust gas cooler cleaning. Carbon builds in those.

But that is it.
