More info for you DIY folks.
06E103207AP, Crankcase Breather Pipe is the solenoid part that goes to the intake bellows/CCVv.
When the CCVv fails it can suck oil in as well make a noise at idle. I had one customers car in with a failed valve and swore the noise was belt or bearing noise in front. The noise went away with the oil cap removed.
Based on time, mileage and my 20136 code I replaced my CCVv as well as water pump, Tstat and heater pipe (needs to be removed to get CCVv out.). I wanted to not worry about the Tstat and wp on a long drive. My code returned, CCVv diaphragm was not torn at this time.
This breather pipe with solenoid is like a one way valve and in testing a new one and the one in the car I used a vacuum pump at the hose on the bellows. New one held vacuum, stock one did not. When I removed the solenoid if I tapped it or moved it the valve would reseat and hold vacuum. So far after replacing the breather pipe no more codes. I have not gone further testing with Vagcom to see what happens open or closed when energized, But I suspect it still functioned, just didn't seat properly each time.
My point is replace this part when you do everything else. There is a diaphragm in the CCVv as in the others like the 2.0. They tear over time from oil getting on them. so expect to replace it 60/90+k and be done. Call it maintenance on these .
