    AEB FT tune?

    hey guys,

I'm going to be helping a friend upgrade to a frankenturbo from a ko4 on his 99.5 within the next couple weeks. (ko4 is pretty shot) I was wondering what everyone is running for a tune on their AEB cars with a Frankenturbo, and how they like it? I keep hearing good things about the UM 630cc stage 3 tune, but i'm also seeing that some people are getting poor fuel economy with it... anyone have this going on?

Or is a tune change even necessary with that small of a jump in turbo size? He currently has a ko4 setup running a GIAC pc-16 file on it, with all the supporting hardware. Or would he be able to run his pc-16 tune with the FT for a while until he wants to squeeze more power out of it?

I've read of folks having a good experience with the United Motorsports aeb tunes with the FT. Also Ian Nelson aka reflect tuning at least used to do a FT tune but i read he stopped doing them.

Yeah, it doesn't look like Reflect offers a tune for the FT anymore. it isn't listed on their site at least. I was leaning towards the United Motorsports tune, I just wanted to see what peoples opinions were that have had the tune for a while.

Had that tune on my AEB FT setup, worked pretty well. I'm not sure the reduced fuel efficiency is due to that tune specifically... most likely it's the FT, as my AWM doesn't get the greatest MPG in the city with a FT either.
