    S3 Rear Valance/Diffuser Part Number?

Hey everyone, I need a little help.

My A3 was rear ended last Friday and the bumper and rear valance were damaged. I brought the car to the collision shop today to get the preliminary estimate done and I'm afraid they may order the wrong part, since I have a Milltek quad exhaust installed and am using the OEM S3 rear valance.

When we looked it up on the Audi parts website, it says the part number is: 8V5807521F1RR
    https://parts.audiusa.com/p/Lower-pa...07521F1RR.html

However, when I search for that part number online, I get results saying it's for the 1.8T A3 FWD:
    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...8v5807521f1rr/

I paid about $600 for the part, and I'm fairly certain the right part number is: 8V5807521H1RR
    https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...8v5807521h1rr/

But the strange thing is when I search for that part number (8V5807521H1RR) at the Audi parts site, there are no results!

Can you guys confirm that 8V5807521H1RR is the correct part number? And why it isn't showing up on the Audi parts site? Since I think that's what the collision shop is using to try to find the part (or some similar resource that also has 8V5807521F1RR listed as the correct part).

Thanks in advance. I'm just trying to avoid any headaches when I drop off the car next week, don't want to wait extra days to get it back if they've ordered the wrong part.

Most body shops now days use your VIN number to identify and order parts. You may need to specifically instruct them to replace your damaged rear valance with the factory S rear valance. Hopefully that works. To be on the up & up, you should check the cost of the one you had on the car against the factory part (assuming you want to go factory replacement) and offer to pay the difference. In the past when I have approached it like this on other cars, the insurance company has always declined my offer and covered the part 100%. Perhaps because I was candid about it.

    Thanks Cairo!

It's not actually an issue of whether they'll cover it (State Farm will cover aftermarket parts so long as they're bolted on at the time of the accident), but whether the collision shop orders the correct part. As you said, they did use my VIN to look up the parts, but since I'm using an S3 part and I have an A3, they can't find the right part number this way (using my VIN).

I did tell them that I've got the factory S3 rear valance installed and they came up with the 8V5807521F1RR part number from that info. However, I'm just concerned that it's the incorrect part. I'm looking for confirmation from members who've dealt with this part that the correct part number is actually 8V5807521H1RR.

FWIW, here are 2 listings in the classifieds for the rear valance and they're all using the 8V5807521H1RR part number:

    Thanks again.
